Implementation of CodeMonkey:

Firstly, extensive efforts were dedicated to training staff in coding concepts and communicating the pivotal role of coding skills in the 21st Century.

Further, the implementation of CodeMonkey was a phased and deliberate process. It commenced with a pilot program targeting Grade 5/6 students at select campuses. The success of the pilot program led to the expansion of CodeMonkey integration into the Grade 5/6 curriculum across all campuses in North America and the Caribbean. This strategic approach allowed for thorough assessment of the program’s effectiveness and seamless integration into the educational framework.

Impact on Students and Teachers:

CodeMonkey’s interactive and gamified platform resonated profoundly with students, fostering engagement and making learning to code enjoyable and accessible. Teachers benefited from the platform’s comprehensive teacher resources and training modules, which supported them in effectively delivering coding instruction. Beyond acquiring coding proficiency, students developed essential skills such as logical reasoning and perseverance, enhancing their overall learning experience.

Achievement of Goals:

The primary goal of introducing CodeMonkey was to promote STEM learning and equip students with digital literacy and problem-solving skills. Through the integration of CodeMonkey into the curriculum, OneSchool Global North America strongly supported this objective. OneSchool Global North America witnessed a notable increase in student enthusiasm for STEM subjects and observed the seamless integration of coding education into various facets of student learning.

Conclusion:

CodeMonkey has played an important role in increasing STEM engagement at OneSchool Global North America. The successful integration of coding education into the curriculum underscores the OneSchool’s commitment to preparing students for an increasingly digital world. As the journey continues, CodeMonkey remains a cornerstone in shaping the future-ready skills of students across all campuses.
