Laredo ISD is Leading the Way in Technology through our partnership with CodeMonkey. Our dedicated educators are transforming the learning experiences of our students through innovative teaching practices that are gamified, engaging, and promote computational thinking to drive results!
Implementation of CodeMonkey:
In LISD’s classrooms, the winds of change began to blow with the introduction of CodeMonkey. Like a compass guiding students through the complexities of coding, CodeMonkey offered a gateway to digital literacy and computational thinking. LISD’s educators embraced this innovative tool, weaving it into the fabric of their curriculum to provide students with hands-on learning experiences.

We have noticed that all students who work with CodeMonkey develop a strong foundation of coding skills, and are motivated to compete in our district’s annual code-a-thon competition that occurs both at the campus level at the conclusion of the first semester, and then at the district level during our annual student technology expo.
