Welcome to Meet the Teacher \u2013 CodeMonkey\u2019s blog segment where teachers from all over the world share their experiences on what it\u2019s like being an educator. <\/em>Today\u2019s post features Cindy Ault who is a 7-12th Grade Special Education <\/em>Teacher from Perryville High School in Perryville, Arkansas.<\/em><\/h3>\n

“I knew in college I wanted a field that would help someone so I chose teaching. <\/span>We use lots of technology in my room. However, we still do hands-on learning as well. I think it is a blend of both to be successful with students. <\/span>Working with children is a challenge and joy!  We have good days and bad days. My area is special education and so we have many students who struggle with basic concepts in the classroom. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

My perspective of the world hasn\u2019t changed but I do know that we have many great young people who want to be better citizens in this world. <\/span>It\u2019s important to me that my students learn how to be good citizens and have the tools to succeed in life! [One piece of advice is to] <\/span>BE patient!  Also, you do not have to use technology in place of good teaching! Blend it!”<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
